Kent McKay
Lecturer in Stage Management
Kent McKay is Director of Production for The Julliard School in New York. His career before joining Juilliard includes work in not-for-profit and commercial theater, dance, opera, and music, film festivals, international touring, and project management. McKay served as Director of Production/Production Manager for Long Wharf Theatre, Livent’s Ford Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, the Mirvish (Toronto) production of Miss Saigon, The Canadian Stage Company, The Grand Theatre, Toronto International Film Festival and Toronto’s SkyDome. He also served as Technical Director for Canada’s Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Touring experience includes Livent’s American tour of Showboat, Cirque Du Soleil’s production of Dralion at London’s Royal Albert Hall and various European locations, as well as Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Australian tour. As project manager, McKay oversaw the installation of the Madame Tussauds Museum in the Venetian Hotel of Las Vegas as well as special projects for Genentech, Microsoft’s XBOX launch, General Motors’ new product launches at the Toronto International Car Show, and shows for General Electric and Sony. As Executive Producer for C2 Creative in New York, he oversaw the construction and installation of Bank of America’s Heritage Program locations.
